Biography

Richard Ford (born February 16, 1944) is an American novelist and short story writer.  His best-known works are the novel The Sportswriter and its sequels, Independence Day, The Lay of the Land and Let Me Be Frank With You.

Literary Awards

Among his many literary wards, Richard Ford has been given the following over the last few years: 1996 PEN/Faulkner Award, for Independence Day 1996 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, for Independence Day 2015  Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, finalist, for Let Me Be Frank with You 2019 Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction
